*A Vontade - Coal Mine Blouse, Indigo - VTD-0541-JK2

This stand out piece from *A Vontade is based on jackets that coal miners would have worn in the early 1900s.

The material is a 13.5oz Selvedge denim, carefully woven on traditional shuttle looms using Zimbabwean cotton for the warp yarn and a natural tea cotton mix for the weft yarn. The jacket is then cut with a short and boxy silhouette and constructed with 100% cotton thread.

Pleats on the front and back allow for ease of movement and some layers underneath whilst a slit on the side and a slide buckle on the waistband allows for adjustment to the fit and silhouette.

A simplified and minimal design, the jacket also features a patch pocket on the front, steel doughnut buttons and selvedge detail running down the inside of the placket. A truly beautiful piece that will stand the test of time, whilst aging beautifully.
