The Coal Mine Jeans are a signature style from *A Vontade. Based on pairs of miners jeans worn during the late 1800 to 1900s. The style influences added from vintage examples include the cinchable buckle back just about the seat and the raised coin pocket extending upward to the waistband.
This pair are made from a beautiful 11.5oz Japanese Selvedge Denim crafted from Zimbabwean long cotton for the warp and an undyed brown cotton for the weft. Selvedge detailing can be found on the inside of the outer leg seam as is typical and on the hem of the coin pocket.
The fit is a relaxed upper leg which tapers gradually to a refined silhouette. The rise is high as is typical of older jean styles in America. The trouser is finished with original slick black metal donut buttons and brass rivets to reinforce the pockets.

Care: Cold Wash. Separately by colour. Do not tumble dry. (Indigo may bleed when wet)
