Big John's XX001 is a premium model for the brand. It is made from a 15.8oz Selvedge Denim that sources different types of Organic Cotton from 5 separate continents.
South America: Peru Aspero Organic Cotton - Thick fibres with mositure absorption.
North America: Texas Supima Organic Cotton - Silk like lustre and superior strength.
Asia: Indian Organic Cotton - Fine hand feel providing softness & shine.
Africa: Tanzanian Organic Cotton - Moderate stiffness for structure and strength.
Once spun the yarn is then rope dyed 16 times in Natural Japanese Indigo. The traditional Japanese method for dying workwear garments and for creating the signature Deep Blue. These Jeans will, soften fade and age beautifully over time as a result. A nice touch also is that the Selvedge Line is also Indigo as opposed to the more typical Red-line.
This pair has been washed once to reduce all initial shrinkage
These are Big Johns 'Regular Straight' style - a close fit to an Original Vintage 501 shape. It has a classic 5 pocket construction, Iron Donut Buttons, Copper Rivets, Nude Cowhide Leather Back Patch and Chain Stitching throughout.
